How To Keep Your Desk Tidy

It’s the beginning of a new year, which probably means most of us are working on our New Year’s Resolutions? Getting organized is one of the top 5 most popular resolutions, and for a good reason! Working around a cluttered workspace can seriously affect your productivity. 


1. Eliminate Clutter

If you don’t use it every day, move it to a drawer and off your desk. Only the items that are essential for daily use should be in sight!

2. Have one item that makes you smile

This item can be a plant, a picture of your family, or a snow-globe you picked up from vacation. Having something on your desk that makes you smile can bring happiness to your workday and bring some life to your workspace.  

3. Organize your desktop

Having a desktop organizer is helpful for any stray items. You can use trays to organize your papers and cups and containers for your smaller items to keep them all tidy!

4. Clean at the end of the day

At the end of each day, tidy up your desk! When you wake up and get back to work, it will feel so much better and help with your productivity and motivation to start the day.
